Approaches to therapy:
How Do we make changes?

Trauma can lead you to feel stuck in the past and worried about the future; recovery enables you to live in the here and now, and connect to your best self. We all have the ability to heal—to build new pathways rather than repeating negative patterns. We can make more profound change in our lives when we experience shifts not only through thinking and insight but also in our bodies and nervous systems.

My intention is to provide a nonjudgmental, compassionate, and safe environment. I draw from a range of therapeutic tools, depending upon what is most resonant for the client. While Somatic Experiencing® is my home base, I find all of these modalities to be effective in different ways, and they all support gentle change from the inside out.

Somatic Experiencing® (SE)

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)

Somatic Resilience and Regulation (SRR)

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

In my work with children, I incorporate SMART, Theraplay, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Integrated Attachment Family Therapy, and the Safe and Sound Protocol. Members of our group practice are also trained in some of these modalities.
