Stephanie Yemane, LMSW

I help clients build safety, connection, and self-understanding so they can heal and create new ways of relating to themselves and others.

In working with children and families, I focus on strengthening relationships, improving emotional regulation, and supporting parents. With adults, our work often centers on unpacking early experiences, understanding how the body holds stress, and developing tools for self-compassion and resilience. I embrace a therapeutic approach that centers trauma-informed, attachment-based, and anti-oppressive frameworks. My appreciation of the mind-body connection is grounded in my undergraduate study of neuroscience and experience conducting clinical research in neurology and genetics clinics.

Being a second-generation Eritrean-American gives me a deep personal understanding of culture, identity, and the strengths and challenges these bring to our healing journeys. As a therapist, I bring my full self—just as I hope you will—and strive to create a space for clients to explore these dimensions safely and openly. I view the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative process built on respect, trust, and empowerment.
